Nightmares On Wax is the soul of the label. His references and taste in music, soul, funk, hip hop and pure electronic music, set him appart from other artists of the Sheffield label. He was the first to mix electronica and soul/funk, thus opening the path to
trip hop along with pioneers like Massive Attack and Portishead. Not long ago, DJ Ease creates the "On Wax" label to devote himself to more soulful productions and develop artists like Ricky Ranking or Guts.
